I appreciate your service on my cars last week. As a classic car collector, I was very surprised by the quality of your work and the professional way you conduct your business. My cars look better than ever. I will definitely use your services again.
During the summer months we have received phone calls regarding rough paint. The first thing a customer will say is “my paint feels rough to the touch”. Can you fix it? What causes this?
Most of the time, the roughness you may feel on your paint is caused by tree sap. During the summer months trees tend to drop more sap then normal. When you seek out the shady parking space under a tree, you can become the unsuspecting victim of the increased tree sap dropping from the tree and coating your paint.
Removal is straightforward, but not necessarily simple. Sap and other foreign surface substances can be removed through a process called “claying”. Although this is a procedure you can do yourself, it is relatively technical and must be done correctly to prevent damage to your paint. We strongly recommend using a professional car detailer instead of doing it yourself. Our professional experience claying cars ensures it is completed correctly and complimented with a good coat of wax.
For prevention, try make sure you always remove any foreign matter that may land on your paint. Anything left on your paint could leave stains or cause dulling of your paint finish.
